Metro Aviation recently received a Federal Aviation Administration Supplemental Type Certificate for a complete Emergency Medical System kit for its Eurocopter, becoming the first company to offer the product with the EMS package in the United States.
After five months of completing the certification process, Metro Aviation was approved in December to offer the safety kit. The EMS kit includes such safety products as cabin reading lights, forward storage cabinet, secondary pedestrian restraint and medical equipment racks.
In addition, a new report from Global Industry Analysts expects the global aviation security equipment market to witness robust growth in the next few years, as airlines are increasing their security measures in response to terrorist attacks. Ever since 9/11, airports have amplified their security to better defend against a terrorist threat.
However, security breaches continued all over the world, leading the industry to push for strong security tools. Another safety tool very important to the aviation industry is pilot insurance. It can be used to protect pilots and passengers against unexpected circumstances and creates peace of mind in the sky.
