Delta Airlines recently announced an increase in service to Los Angeles International airport that will give fliers year-round access on the airline to Los Angeles on a daily basis. The airline will include seasonal service to 14 destinations, which includes eight new markets and adds 12 percent more daily seats in the Los Angeles area, allowing more customers to get their flights back and forth. The expansion for LAX service also includes new daily service to Nashville and three daily flights to Seattle, which will be implemented on April 8. New intra-West service to San Jose, California and Spokane, Washington will also be made available to fliers. The airline also recently announced that it will expand Brazil flights, applying to the U.S. Department of Transportation to add more nonstop flights to the country from Atlanta and New York. Considering the number of flights expected to increase over the course of the next few years, pilots should make sure they are prepared for any unexpected circumstances that might arise by securing pilot insurance.
