NOTAM released for AirVenture 2011

The Federal Aviation Administration has released a Notice to Airmen concerning the 2011 Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture Oshkosh 2011.
The notice is intended to inform pilots of changes the FAA plans to implement in the affected airspace and airports in an effort to manage the increased volume of airplanes in the area and uphold safety.
Between July 22 and August 1, changes the FAA has suggested include modifying approach control frequencies in nearby Madison and Muskegon and creating a restricted area over Central Wisconsin. AirVenture has copies of the NOTAM available on its site for download and, according to General Aviation News, pilots should carry it in flight. Additionally they should be vigilant and remain aware of potential safety hazards.
NOTAMs and other FAA bulletins play an important role in keeping pilots informed and safe when they take flight. However, with numerous other hazards to face, even a sound and efficient regulatory body that takes extensive safety measure cannot always prevent accidents from happening. Life insurance for pilots cannot prevent accidents either, however, it can ensure a pilots family is financially provided for, should they pass away.
