Duncan Aviation recently announced that it has opened a facility at Portland International Airport in Portland, Oregon. The company noted that it has teamed up with Flightcraft in order provide pilots avionics installations and repair. “Customers have consistently asked us to consider positioning more Duncan Aviation avionics technicians in the upper northwest part of the United States, so we answered,” said Matt Nelson, Duncan Aviation's manager of satellite operations. “We are ultimately trying to expand our footprint in the Northwest in support of our Provo, Utah, location.” The new Duncan shop is now one of 30 facilities located throughout the United States. In a separate announcement made earlier this month, Renegade Light Sport has recently purchased a hangar at Sait Lucie County Airport in Florida. The purchase was made in order to consolidate design, delivery and maintenance under one roof. The hangar is 70,000 square feet. Renegade President Christopher Bailey said the new hangar will offer aviators a one stop shop for everything having to do with light sport aircraft. While life might be a little easier for those in the general aviation community in Oregon and Florida, pilot's are always reminded to obtain pilot insurance before take off.
