Weather Services International's new product, WSI Fusion 4.2, aims to help pilots and aviation groups manage global weather, improve operational efficiency and enhance overall safety.
WSI Fusion warns pilots of hazardous weather conditions, and works to keep flights on schedule. The new version of the product includes Australian and European radar to help international carriers better plan their flights. The solution also includes enterprise and flight planning interfaces that integrate customer data to allow users to create and follow optimal flight and routing selections. Another source of flight safety is pilot insurance, as it safeguards against the unexpected.
In addition, VisionMonitor Aviation recently deployed the Real-Time Safety Performance Management software to enhance the effectiveness of operational safety management systems. The new safety performance indicator constantly monitors the safety management system to make sure all flights, passengers and crew are safe and prepared for unfavorable conditions or circumstances. The monitor allows airlines and pilots to identify problems within a safety management system, make proactive adjustments and continue with the scheduled flights.
