Pilot and wreckage found following crash of Strikemaster

The body of a pilot who has been missing since his BAC 167 Strikemaster jet crashed near Kingston, New York, on February 26 has been recovered from the Hudson river along with the aircraft wreckage, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Pilot Dr. Michael Faraldi, who had purchased the plane earlier that day in Nashville, crashed around 1:30 pm, witnesses told the source. The plane allegedly lost power after doing a low pass over Kingston Airport and entering a vertical climb.
The "loss of thrust" caused the plane to plummet into the frozen surface of the Hudson River after doing a 360-degree rotation, the source reported. The official cause of the crash won't be finalized for months.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the pilot had never been cited for any form of violation or incident and the plane also had a clean record, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
The incident reflects the sometimes unexpected nature of fatal plane accidents. Even pilots embarking on routine flights in favorable weather conditions should invest in life insurance for pilots, which can help provide for their families if they should die during an accident.
