Training program teaches pilots how to avoid pet hazards

Though general aviation pilots might enjoy the relaxed environment and options private planes can provide, certain actions, such as bringing along pets, may actually place them and their passengers in harm's way, according to AVweb.
However, a new pet-services company has created a training program for pilots with personal aircrafts or private jets to teach them how to appropriately deal with pets on a flight to avoid any potential hazards they may present.
The program, called Sit 'n Stay Global, teaches aviators how to handle pets during normal flights, as well as emergency situations.
"Our Pet Safety Protocols were originally formulated through considerable experience and extensive research into different in-flight situations. The training program was a product of that research," company head Carol Martin told Private Jet Daily.
Any additional training that can help make flying safer for pilots is a worthwhile investment. However, some flying hazards are unavoidable and may result in the death of the pilot. They can prepare for the potential that such a tragedy might happen by obtaining life insurance for pilots, which will assist their families financially during the difficult time following their death.
