Cubic named among the best by Aviation Week&Space Technology

Aviation Week & Space Technology has named Cubic Corporation's Transportation Systems business segment, a leader in automated fare collection systems and services for public transit, among the top performers between the $1 billion to $5 billion revenue category.
Cubic ranked first on last year's list, which is determined by four performance categories including return on invested capital, earnings momentum, asset management and financial health. The company was placed in the No. 2 spot on this year's rankings, missing the top spot by only 0.1 point. This is the third year in a row Cubic has been reporting revenues of more than $1 billion.
"At the end of the day, the real test ought to be how consistent somebody is,” said Michael Lowry, project manager for the Aviation Week & Space Technology Top Performing Companies list. “If I were a shareholder or a board member and wanted to hold my CEO and executive team accountable, I would look at where they have taken the company and whether they were able to sustain excellence over time in the face of improving competition. Unlike the stock market, past performance at Cubic does seem to indicate future results. "
Aviation Week & Space Technology has planned continuing its success as well, recently announcing its expansion of print and digital content set to debut July 2. The leader in aerospace and defense is offering more print and digital content in these specific sectors in order to stimulate business development.
Aviation Weekprovides its service to the largest audience in the world for a company of its kind, accounting for more than 100,000 subscribers and has been reporting revenues between $1 billion and $5 billion for the past five years.
Other recent efforts of late include doubling its team of analysts and researchers to extend its grasp further into defense, business aviation and civil aftermarkets. Along with employee expansion, production is also set to increase. Aviation Week is expected to have twice as many aircraft in its aviation by 2030.
