An upcoming event will be held at Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor soon to give young people who are interested in an aviation career hands-on experience and tips from professionals. This marks the fourth year for the event, which is called Discover Your Future in Aviation. It will run Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving young people a chance to speak with pilots one-on-one, participate in hands-on workshops and win aviation prizes. Participants will also have the opportunity to take photos with costumed characters who are often associated with aviation, including Amelia Earhart, a Zero pilot and Rosie the Riveter. "It's a great opportunity to talk one-on-one with aviation professionals and learn more about careers in aviation and the related sciences," said Ken DeHoff, executive director of the event. As the young participants get advice from seasoned veterans in the aviation field, they should also consider the importance of purchasing pilot insurance if they pursue a career in the industry. It's never too early or too late to think about the future, which would make this event a perfect time to consider safety.
