EtQ recently announced it will host its second annual Aviation Safety Management Summit at the end of the month in Tempe, Arizona. The summit is a free event that aims to provide aviation professionals with resources and best practices to use when implementing the company's safety management system.
At the summit, members of the aviation industry will learn the many features of the safety management system including how to use the tool for quality management, fatigue management and safety management; as well as the importance of data protection and predictive safety systems. Pilot insurance is another safety measure that can protect against the unexpected.
"The event will also provide insight into how technology can help these professionals in their SMS journey," said Morgan Palmer, CEO of EtQ.
In addition GlobalAir.com is donating $1,000 to the Kentucky Institute for Aerospace Education, a nonprofit organization that is working to improve aviation education through hands-on application and experience. The institute works with high school students interested in applied sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Students can experience hands-on learning opportunities that bring their classroom coursework to life in a real-world setting. Students can also complete aerospace projects and compete in associated competitions.
