Idaho Aviation Expo set for May
January 30, 2013, 04:57 pm
The Idaho Aviation Expo will be at Idaho Falls Regional Airport on May 17-18. This is the event's third year, after recently changing its name from Trade Show Aviation Idaho. This year's expo will feature new and vintage aircraft and will allow aviation enthusiasts to learn about maintenance, avionics, flight clubs and associations, as well as see various speakers. Aviation fans who have fun at the Idaho expo will be pleased to know the 2013 Sun 'n Fun International Fly-in & Expo will be held just a month later on April 9-14 at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport in Lakeland, Florida. This year's event will feature the United States Air Force Thunderbirds military jet team. “SUN ‘n FUN is honored and excited that the world's most recognized military jet team – the U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds – has included our event on their 2013 schedule,” said John Leenhout, SUN ‘n FUN president and convention chairman. “Their participation will add to the aircraft and activities already being planned for this year's fly-in. We look forward to having the Thunderbirds here in Lakeland and know they will find the people and businesses throughout Lakeland, Polk County and central Florida to be avid enthusiasts and most hospitable hosts.” Pilots hitting the expo circuit this upcoming spring are reminded to obtain pilot life insurance before taking to the skies.
