The U.S. Sport Aviation Expo, held from January 19-22 at the Sebring Regional Airport in Sebring, Florida, will focus this year on experimental light sport aircraft, including human or electric powered airplanes and powered parachutes, among other planes, according to Highlands Today. More than 150 aircraft will be on display throughout the event.
Events at the expo range from flying demonstrations and forums to auctions, food and entertainment. The event has expanded somewhat, and areas of interest will this year go beyond the experimental aircraft realm. Many light sport aircraft pilots and enthusiasts are interested in novel power systems, and the expo will feature demonstrations by an electric bicycle company as well.
Members of pilot organizations like the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Experimental Aircraft Association are eligible to receive discounts at the gate.
"If it exists in the recreational aviation market, it will be presented here at the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo," Jana Filip, expo director noted, according to the source.
Airplane and pilot expos like the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo present excellent opportunities for pilots to network and discuss financial aviator concerns, such as term life insurance for pilots or estate planning for pilots. Pilot insurance policies often include allowances and specific forms of coverage that normal insurance policies do not, and organizations can sometimes offer discounted rates.
