A small plane recently crashed in New Hudson, Michigan, damaging the aircraft but leaving the passenger and pilot uninjured.
Home Town Life reported the Piper Saratoga plane overshot the runway at the Southwest Oakland County Airport and crashed into a nearby swamp. By the time deputies arrived on the scene, the pilot and passenger had already left the wreckage, but the pilot later returned and cooperated with the officials investigating the incident. It is unclear whether the pilot had pilot insurance, which would help cover some of the costs related to the incident.
In addition, a small plane also crashed on a trip from Snyder to Ruidoso, New Mexico. My Fox Lubbock reported the Cessna plane made a number of 360 degree turns in the air before radar contact was lost. The plane crash killed both the pilot and passenger.
The source reported a border patrol pilot spotted a thousand foot trail of plane wreckage on a hill on the Mescalero Apache Reservation four days after the crash. But further details on the cause of the crash remain unknown, and there was no flight plan filed for the trip.
