Pentastar, a leader in aviation services, including aircraft management, maintenance and charter services, has hired a new chief pilot.
Kip Catlin has logged more than 12,500 hours flying and previously was a captain at Northern Jet Management.
"We at Pentastar Aviation are extremely fortunate to gain a consummate professional of Kip's caliber to fill our chief pilot position," said Danny Clifton, vice president flight operations at Pentastar. "His vast experience in all aspects of commercial aviation will extend our proud heritage of uncompromising safety and customer-focused service. Given the breadth of Pentastar's flight operations, Kip's experience in Parts 91, 121 and 135 make him the perfect fit to ensure our continued compliance and industry leadership."
Catlin has stated his excitement in being part of Pentastar and based his acceptance of the position on the strong reputation and experience of the company. For decades Pentastar has specialized in Gulfstream aircraft, and Catlin has prior experience as corporate pilot and director of operations and general management of an air charter that directly lines up with Pentastar’s aviation mission.
