Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker recently announced that July 23 to 29 was Aviation Week in the state. He added that aviation is a valued across the state, providing a safe and efficient transportation method for businesses, noting the significant impact aviation has on the Wisconsin's economy.
Walker quoted a recent National Business Aviation Association report noting that said aviation and airports generate nearly $3 billion in income each year in Wisconsin and account for more than 41,000 jobs in the state.
The state is also home to what has been dubbed as the World's Greatest Aviation Celebration, attracting nearly 500,000 aviation fans from 60 countries attending the event each year, as well as nearly 10,000 aircraft. For those fans of aviation, pilot life insurance is viable option for anyone who is taking to the skies for AirVenture, or any flight for that matter.
