Powerhouses team up to spread the word about general aviation

In an effort to expand their business clientele, Forbes Custom Solutions and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association are joining forces to show businessowners how much of an asset general aviation can be.
"Those of us directly involved in the general aviation industry understand how indispensible a business tool it can be," said Tom Haines, senior vice president of media for AOPA. "But a smart business person who is unfamiliar with aviation needs to vet the concept before implementing it. ForbesBusinessAviation.com gives them a vital tool to accomplish that."
The website, created by Forbes and written by the AOPA, allows visitors the ability to calculate the time difference between flying commercial and flying in a business jet, according to the AOPA. Their hope is that professionals who value their time will see the options may outweigh the cost.
Many business owners are not skilled enough in the general aviation industry to warrant buying pilots life insurance, but that should not deter them from enjoying the same services. Flying commercial can severely limit an individual's options on the time and location of their flights, while flying in a private or business jet can raise those choices exponentially, the site reports.
