The 159th Combat Aviation Brigade returns home

Nearly 200 members of the 159th Combat Aviation Brigade recently returned from Afghanistan to Campbell County Airfield in Kentucky, where they were met by family and friends. The 195 members of the 159th Brigade represent the last major team of the 101st Airborne Division still deployed in Afghanistan.
Family members, friends, and the entire Fort Campbell community set up a warm welcome for brigade members earlier this week. Local media crews, national news sources and international media, including CNN, came out to Fort Campbell to document the historic return of the soldiers, specifically CWO Collis and Captain Cai. These two soldiers were chosen to speak to the media on behalf of the entire brigade and division, Clarksville Online reported.
Once the troops landed, but before families were reunited, a short ceremony was held to honor the soldiers and the work they did abroad. The ceremony featured airmen holding flowers in their hands awaiting their dismissal. Once the ceremony was over, the crowd exploded and hugs and smiles were shared among all, the Tennessean reported.
The group of soldiers was the second flight from the 159th Brigade to return home. Within the next few months all 3,000 soldiers of the brigade are expected to return home, the source reported.
While the airmen were fighting to protect our nation's liberty, pilots should invest in pilot insurance to protect themselves and their passengers from any accidents that could occur in the skies.
