US Airways has decided to offer customers more ways to get to Europe during the summer, with the announcement of daily flights to Lisbon, Portugal; Venice, Italy; Barcelona, Spain; Glasgow, Scotland; and Athens, Greece.
Other seasonal flights will be added to the Charlotte, North Carolina, hub, including trips to Dublin, Madrid and Rome.
"Our seasonal service gives our customers more ways to reach their favorite European destinations from both Philadelphia and Charlotte, while also giving European travelers access to US Airways destinations as diverse as San Juan and Los Angeles," said Suzanne Boda, senior vice president of US Airways. "Customers will also be able to enjoy the Envoy Suite to many new destinations enhancing their travel experience across the Atlantic."
The Envoy Suite is equipped with an adjustable seat that fully reclines to a flat bed, on-flight entertainment and a power outlet for every passenger.
This announcement came only a few days after Airlines for America said it expects the United States will have a record number of people making international flights this summer. The group expects 26.8 million people will be flying internationally this summer season.
For those pilots in the air to meet the summer demand, pilot life insurance is a viable option. Although it’s no Envoy Suite, it does offer more peace of mind.
