Hundreds of aviation industry professionals recently gathered together in Washington D.C. to attend a prestigious award ceremony. The President of Aviation Integrated Management (AIM) Solutions Consulting, Roy Resto, received the 2011 Edward J. Glueckler Award from the Aviation Suppliers Association (ASA).
This lifetime achievement award is annually bequeathed to an individual who has shown an outstanding commitment, dedication and contributions to both the ASA and the aviation industry as a whole. Michele Dickstein, president of the ASA spoke on Resto's award.
"Over time, Roy Resto has been instrumental in finding the path forward for several of the initiatives that are the cornerstone of our organization today," Dickstein said. Resto was the driving force behind numerous industry initiatives, including FAA accreditation programs and, most recently, "Roy's efforts have insured that aviation criminals have a new enemy as it relates the launch of the first publicly available stolen parts database by ASA."
Upon receiving the award, Resto said, "Words cannot adequately describe the profound yet humbling sense of honor this award has given me. My sincerest desire is that others may gain the inspiration and courage needed to champion noble aviation causes such as safety, quality, and collaborative problem solving for the future."
Aviation safety is foremost in the minds of most aircraft owners, and life insurance for pilots is necessary for those who want to protect their families.
