Father's Day is coming up, and many people may be wondering what gift could send their dad sky-high. One company is offering the chance to do just that with a flight lesson for $129.95. Pilot Journey is providing the lessons through its Discovery Flight program, which will give fathers the chance to log some airtime with a pilot certified through the Federal Aviation Administration. The company has partnerships with more than 490 flight schools across the country, which can provide people the chance to get dad in the air through the program. Along with the flight lesson, fathers will get additional materials, including instructional videos that will prepare them for the event. The package also includes a log book, which will allow participants to keep track of any future flights they take. Gary Bradshaw, Pilot Journey owner, said it should be a gift that fathers should love and remember. "Imagine the look on Dad's face when he learns that he's going to take a real flight lesson in a real airplane," Bradshaw said. For 2010, Father's Day occurs on June 20 in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom, which means consumers do still have a little bit of time to plan for gifts for dad.
