The camera company GoPro recently announced it is sponsoring the Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture 2012 event, known as "the world's greatest aviation celebration." GoPro will provide daily overview videos featuring the numerous performances at the event, including air shows, concerts and movies.
Event goers will be able to witness cockpit perspectives from the GoPro HD HERO line of cameras, which will be mounted on various historic and modern aircraft during the week long event.
"With more than 10,000 aircraft on site for the event, the energy and excitement of AirVenture makes it the perfect arena for GoPro’s entry into the world of aviation," said Paul Crandell, vice president of Brand Marketing for GoPro. "We look forward to meeting like-minded enthusiasts, and demonstrating how GoPro can capture people’s amazing flight experiences and make it easier to relive and share these exhilarating experiences."
GoPro will also have a booth set up at the event, with aerobatics world champion Kirby Chambliss on hand to sign autographs on July 25 and July 28. GoPro experts will also be available to inform attendees about cameras and special event prices.
Before spending on new aviation technology, pilots may be well-served to purchase pilot life insurance to ensure the financial security of their loved ones.
