The National Business Aviation Association recently announced their latest regional forum in partnership with the Southern California Aviation Association. The two groups will be hosting a career day in Long Beach, California, on February 27.
The event will be held at AirFlight at the Long Beach Airport. Business aviation professionals spanning many careers in the business aviation sector will give presentations on how to pursue a career just like theirs. Information on the following careers will be available: pilot, flight attendant, maintenance technician, operations specialist, dispatcher, finance, sales, accounting and marketing professional.
In addition, event-goers will be issued a complimentary pass to attend the NBAA Business Aviation Forum on February 28.
"NBAA's Business Aviation Regional Forums are day-long learning and peer networking venues designed to meet the needs of regional business aviation communities, and to provide an introduction to local leaders interested in learning more about the industry," reads the National Business Aviation Association website. "The Regional Forums incorporate exhibits, static displays of aircraft and education sessions into one-day events located across the country to help introduce business aviation to local officials and prospective owners and operators, and to help address the issues of the day in the regions."
The website also added that at every Regional Forum, NBAA's membership staff are on hand to provide information on membership benefits, while NBAA's operations staff are also available to answer questions pertaining to business aircraft ownership and regional operating procedures and policies.
A separate event is focused less on business info and more on entertainment.
The Flying Musicians Association will be partaking in the Sebring U.S. Sport Aviation Expo from January 17-20 in Sebring, Florida.
FMA entertainers will be performing on stage in the food court throughout the event.
“Being invited back to the first aviation event of the year is exciting," said John Zapp, co-founder of FMA. "It’s a chance to renew friendships, meet new flying musicians, and enjoy aviation and music. Plus, it’s in Florida, and it’s January!”
So what are the flying musicians? They are exactly as they sound, individuals who enjoy music and aviation. They attend and entertain at events to share what they love with other people and encourage them to bring their own instruments to join in on informal music sessions during the expo.
Pilots planning on attending aviation events in the new year are reminded to obtain pilot life insurance.
