Quest Aircraft recently debuted new interiors, Tundra and Timberline, for its Kodiak aircraft at the Experimental Aviation Association's AirVenture event. The new interiors will be available on the 2013 model planes.
More developmental work is being done on the company's Summit executive interior, which should be available in the middle of 2013, company officials said.
“We have replaced the current Kydex panels with composite panels, which will contribute to a weight reduction and should improve the useful load. We have also refined the headliner and enhanced the soundproofing,” said Steve Zinda, director of sales and marketing. “New amenities for the Timberline include storage pockets to the sidewall beside each chair and cupholders, both in the cabin and the cockpit. We have also restyled the cockpit chairs in both interiors to include an improved headrest and have added center pedestal closeouts.”
The Tundra and Timberline interiors offer two different color variants that customers can choose from. The new interiors can be installed to the existing Kodiak models with minor modifications if consumers who already have the plane are interested.
The Kodiak offers 10 seats in a single-engine turboprop utility airplane. The plane has a rugged aluminum construction, while still providing a high load limit. Pilots should also think about life insurance, because no matter how high the load limit is, insurance protects for the future.
