Blackhawk announces completion of 400th upgrade

Blackhawk Modifications, a company that develops and installs performance improvement systems for single- and twin-engine turboprop aircraft, recently announced that it completed its 400th performance upgrade installation. Blackhawk said that the company receiving the 400th installation was EagleMed, an air medical transport service provider in the Midwest.
“Time is muscle in our industry,” said Robbie Copeland, EagleMed’s director of business development. “Every minute that passes after someone suffers a heart attack, stroke or waits for a transplant can significantly impact their quality of life. Having two King Air B200s with the Blackhawk XP engine upgrade will get our patients to a high-level service provider in a lot less time."
Copeland added that the company is thankful for innovative companies like Blackhawk that help expand their business model, lower costs and reduce risks for patients.
Piper Aircraft made a similar announcement in September. Piper said that it had delivered its 500th pressurized single-engine turboprop M-Class Meridian to a Florida owner. Single-engine Piper turboprops are increasingly growing in popularity as many plane owners are looking to replace less economical twin-engine jets and turboprops.
