Paradigm Shift Solutions releases new flight simulator

October 8, 2012, 12:55 pm

Paradigm Shift Solutions manufactures Flight Simulation Training Devices and Air Traffic Control simulators for colleges, universities and flight schools and features simulators ranging from basic single-engine piston simulators to 50-seat Regional Jet Simulators. The company's website said it aims to provide the highest quality reliable devices for training organizations, while at the same time forging long relationships based on trust, dependability and work ethic.

The company recently released its Air Traffic Control simulation product line after an exhibit of the product was available at the University Aviation Association Fall Conference last month. Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology signed on as the company's development partner for ATC simulation and launch customer.

“We have been so impressed with the quality and engineering of our Paradigm CRJ Flight Training Device that when we were looking for ATC simulation, they were a natural choice” said Domenic Proscia, executive director of training for Vaughan College. “Paradigm offers the technical expertise and industry knowledge to deliver ATC simulation that will allow our students to excel in the FAA air traffic controller academy and the real-world ATC environment.”

The ATC is NextGen ready and incorporates integrated tower, TRACON and en route controller workstations that offer the most up-to-date technology.

Paradigm Shift Solutions is not the only company making aviation technology announcements. EnChroma recently introduce its first line of sunglasses that enhance color vision. Company officials said that more than 10 million Americans live with red/green color vision deficiency.

The new Better Color Vision sunglasses contain optical coating that filters wavelengths of light that are the culprit in color confusion. The lenses provide improvement to the purity and variety of colors.

The sunglasses will be particularly useful for pilots, for whom proper color identification is crucial to air safety. Company officials stated that individuals with color vision deficiency are shown to have slower reaction times to color-coded information. Those who wear the sunglasses are shown to improve color identification and response times for those with a deficiency.

“For every thousand feet of altitude gained the amount of UV radiation increases 4 percent,” officials said. “All our products offer 100 percent protection for UVA/UVB/UVC and cosmic rays, which is important as pilots rely heavily on their eyesight and yet are more prone to sun related cancers and degenerative eye disorders. Our UV450 product goes even further and blocks into the blue spectrum, eliminating short wavelength light thought to contribute to macular degeneration and cataract formation, while also providing color enhancement. ”

These aviation advancements are a good reminder that pilot life insurance is a viable to protecting the financial future of loved ones.
