Boeing introduces new flight technology

Boeing recently introduced new technology to optimize the flying experience, which will consist of 26 commercial flights in a program called Optimal Flight. Optimal flight will improve operational efficiency by implementing necessary information into the plane's systems, such as weather and turbulence data. "A lot of times in today's world, a lot of this information is transmitted through voice transmission or some other means and the flight crew has to input the information into the computer," Boeing spokesperson Daryl Stephenson said. The new technology that will be implemented will upload accurate weather information at various points when the aircraft is in the air, cutting down on the flight path and improving efficiency. Considering the dangers of testing out new technology on a plane while airborne, pilots should be sure to secure pilot insurance to prepare for any unexpected situations that could put their safety in jeopardy. A pilot insurance policy could also provide the pilot's family with peace of mind, knowing expenses will be paid for in the event of an accident.
