New Honda aircraft delivers top flight speeds

Honda Aircraft has performed flight tests on its new jet and the results show that the speeds exceed the expected 420 KTAS that the company promised its customers, according to the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Flying at an altitude of 30,000 feet, the aircraft was able to attain speeds of 425 KTAS, the source says. Since the aircraft is already in a state that meets FAA specifications, those speeds will be attainable by the aircraft once it is in its final production.
"Our flight tests indicate the aircraft is handling and performing as expected, with excellent control harmony and stability," Michimasa Fujino, Honda Aircraft's president and CEO, told the source.
According to the source, the company will continue to perform flight tests and is constructing more FAA-conforming test aircraft.
Though the aircraft can reach high speeds, fast flying may have its own hazards and safety will continue to be an important concern. Life insurance for pilots is a great way to prepare for the potential that an accident may occur, by having funds set aside to cover end-of-life expenses or provide for loved ones.
