Small plane skids off Indianapolis runway

A double-engine plane recently experienced brake problems when it tried to take off from Indianapolis International Airport. The pilot directed the plane into a grassy area off the runway, and airport crew members were able to safely evacuate the two crew members and two passengers from the plane.
The Indy Star reported the small plane was making a trip to Nashville, Tennessee, when it tried to take off out of Indianapolis. Investigators found no fuel was leaking and no fire occurred, and crew members spent hours removing the plane from the field near the runway.
The Indy Channel reported the Cessna T303 Crusader was far enough off the runway when it crashed that it did not delay any airport traffic and officials were able to keep the runway open. The plane was a charter vehicle from Executive Air.
Although no one was injured in the crash, the plane sustained damage that could be costly to fix. Rather than have to pay out of pocket in an incident like this, pilots with sufficient pilot insurance can rely on their coverage to pay for the expensive repairs.
