Boeing recently launched the Boeing Edge, a new program that is the aviation industry's largest services and support portfolio, giving customers an advantage when working with the company. The program is setting a higher standard for aviation services and support throughout the industry.
Boeing Commercial Aviation Services focuses on four services: material, fleet, flight and information. Under these capabilities, customers can access expertise, innovation and support throughout their work with Boeing to get the maximum value out of the partnership.
Boeing also recently partnered with Singapore Airlines Cargo in a maintenance, engineering and planning agreement. Boeing will provide GoldCare coverage for the cargo carrier's fleet, which is a customizable service tailored to meet the maintenance and customer service needs of the client, Breaking Travel News reported.
The engineering contract is based on existing maintenance support products Singapore Airlines Group already uses, including Boeing's Airline Health Management and Electronic Logbook. The goal of the partnership is to simplify the business between the two companies and improve cost management, the source reported.
The aviation industry is growing on a global scale. Thus, pilots should invest in pilot insurance to make sure they are prepared for a variety of flights.
