A new flight simulator was recently released, which is expected to solve the problems previously detected by X-Plane and the Microsoft Flight Simulator. The new simulator was released by Laminar Research, calling it the X-Plane Version 10.20. It is a 64-bit version of X-Plane, which has higher resolution textures, improved scenery and answers the call for larger memory requirements. The X-Plane simulator gives pilots the opportunity to test the flying qualities of fixed- and rotary-wing aircrafts with better accuracy than previous versions, predicting the performance and handling of almost any plane. Customers who had used the version that was previously available complained about there being a degraded computer performance, memory errors and a longer loading time. Even though the new simulator puts pilots behind the controls of plane on a simulated flight, safety is still important when actually navigating the plane that is being tested. Pilot insurance will ensure aviators have the necessary protection if something unexpected happens in the air, which makes securing a policy for pilots a necessity.
