Pilots who are thinking of looking into the latest in GPS technology can turn to Garmin next time they are in flight.
The Electronic Stability and Protection System by Garmin is designed to keep pilots safe while they are in the air. The product will give pilots an enhanced ability to avoid spins and spirals, according to the company.
Garmin ESP says it can help prevent aircraft from exceeding specified speeds and provides low airspeed protection, furthering a pilot's capability of safely navigating an aircraft.
Garmin says that they are one of the earlier companies to offer such a product at an affordable price to general aviation pilots.
"Until today, this type of stability augmentation system has only been available on fly-by-wire aircraft that cost millions of dollars," said Gary Kelley, Garmins vice president of marketing. "We're thrilled to be the first to make this safety enhancing technology available to business and general aviation pilots."
Safety should be a pilots top priority every time they take flight. Rocky Mountain Tracking News reminds pilots that GPS is crucial to helping one avoid hitting another plane or getting lost in an unfamiliar area.
