New headset claims superior noise reduction

Pilots who have been struggling to find a headset that blocks sufficiently blocks out noise in the cockpit might not have to look anymore.
Bose has just released the A20 Aviation Headset, which features microphones placed inside and outside of the earcup to more effectively block out noise.
Noise levels in the cockpit can reach 105 dB. The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association says that sounds in excess of 80 dB can potentially damage hearing. Given the prolonged exposure to loud noise, having a good headset isn't something that people should skimp on.
"Since introducing the industry's first active noise reduction headset in 1989, we've continued our aviation research with a very specific goal: to improve the flying experience for pilots," says Bose noise reduction technology group general manager Sean Garrett. "With the A20 headset, several proprietary technologies work together to deliver a combination of benefits that wasn't available until today."
The headset also offers two different settings to give pilots optimal control over what, and how much, they hear.
