The Transportation Security Administration has been taking a lot of heat from passengers lately in regards to its screening methods. Many travelers have said they don't like the idea of security officials being able to see such a detailed image of their body. Pilots, too, have begun voicing their opposition to the security measure as well.
The U.S. Travel Association has developed a website where passengers can discuss their feelings towards the security measures being implemented on airlines. In a statement, U.S. Travel president and CEO Roger Dow says it's important for people to make their stories well-known. However, passengers and the airline industry to work together.
"Air travel is the gateway to commerce and job creation in the U.S.," said Dow. "We look forward to working with Secretary Napolitano, Administrator Pistole and other government leaders to create a world-class passenger screening process that exceeds the expectations of the American public."
In addition to following all appropriate safety protocols, life insurance for pilots may also be a good idea. Even the best screening measures may not stop someone who is determined to cause harm.
