People who are interested in working for a company that supports good causes may want to consider JetBlue. The airline company is currently running a promotion to benefit the American Cancer Society. Until August 26, consumers can log onto eBay to bid for a pair of of passes for unlimited travel between September 7 through October 6.
The fundraiser has been a good chance for the organization to become involved in a cause they believe in supporting, says JetBlue executive vice president and chief commercial officer Robin Hayes.
"The success from our eBay auction in 2008 and the resounding response of last year's All You Can Jet pass made the coupling of the two a natural choice for us," says Hayes. "Plus, we welcome any opportunity we get to work with organizations like the American Cancer Society and its vital work with the shared goal of helping those in need."
JetBlue has been a supporter of the American Cancer Society for many years. The airline company says that more than 800 employees have raised better than $100,000 since 2005 to help combat breast cancer.
While advancements in breast cancer research have been made, more work needs to be done. The American Cancer Society estimates that over 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
