Aviation groups enhance reputations with innovation

Mesa Airlines recently received the Federal Aviation Administration's Employer's Gold Award for 2011 for the work of its maintenance team.
The award was given to the airlines with the largest number of eligible aviation maintenance technicians who complete a minimum amount of training throughout the year. The goal of the award is to encourage active participation in initial and recurring training programs as well as company-sponsored training initiatives to promote safety and efficiency. Another way to promote safety is to make sure all pilots have pilots insurance to protect against the unexpected.
Reputation will also be a major talking point at the Cygnus Aviation Expo in Las Vegas. Aviation professionals throughout the industry will come together at the expo to discuss the many ways new technology is helping aviation groups to build strong reputations and acquire new customers.
Speaking at the event, Jetwhine blogger Robert Mark will discuss how marketing, public relations, issue management and community relations for airports and aviation businesses can be enhanced with social media. Paula Williams, a marketing consultant at Aviation Business Consultants, will highlight how new media can help entrepreneurs launch an aviation business and marketers can reach new consumers.
