Aviation industry jobs are on the rise and global demand for innovative parts, crew and pilots continues to grow. In order to take advantage of the boom, pilots should invest in pilot insurance to keep the skies safer.
RBC Bearings in Torrington, Connecticut, for example, is reporting significant growth as of late, with sales increasing 17 percent in the last quarter, and aerospace business volume increasing 30 percent in 2011. In the current fiscal year, earning per share are 35.1 percent after growing 41.1 percent in the last fiscal year, CNBC reported.
To keep up with the demand, RBC executives increased payroll by 16 percent and will expand its operations from 4 to 23 plants in 2012. RBC will ship more than 2.5 million bearings this year to be used for Boeing and Airbus planes. Aviation manufacturing is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy, as RBC illustrates, accounting for more than 420,000 new jobs since 2010 and more to be created this year, CNBC reported.
Dr. Hartnett told CNBC that many industries have experienced similar booms like what aviation is currently enjoying. Some industries are unable to maintain the growth and eventually bust. Hartnett does not believe aviation will fall into this trap, as the demand for technology and manufacturing appears to be strong, with no sign of slowing down in the near future.
More affordable airlines are also showing signs of undisrupted growth. As global consumers are becoming more price conscious when making purchasing decisions, a new breed of budget airlines has emerged to change the nature of modern aviation.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported many major airlines are creating offshoots of their company with more affordable ticket prices for the budget traveler. The amenities are more modest and the flights are shorter, but the services are convenient and affordable, which is exactly what many consumers want and need in the current economic climate.
In Australia, for example, passengers are flying overseas in record numbers likely due to the birth of more affordable flight options. The rise of low-cost carriers and Middle Eastern and Chinese airlines offering more flights is enabling Australians to travel more places for reasonable prices, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
