The No Plane No Gain campaign has been ongoing for the past two years, supported by the National Business Aviation Association and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association. The goal of the program is to educate people on the economic impact of aviation.
NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen will discuss the program during a webinar this winter. His discussion will cover progress made since the campaign's start.
"When we launched the No Plane No Gain campaign, we committed to keep the industry advised about our work correct misperceptions about business aviation, and ensure that decision-makers in Washington and elsewhere understand the industry's benefits to the nation's economy and transportation system," says Bolen.
Communities which host airports and aviation events can greatly benefit financially. A number of areas have already recognized the positive impact of having an air facility in their neighborhood. Some states have even dedicated entire months to the industry.
Economic benefits are derived from more employment opportunities and spending from travelers. Jobs include those in the hospitality and service industries.
