Headhunting assignments increase in aviation
March 15, 2013, 11:33 am
According to the Aviation Search Group, which has a specialty of searching for employees in the aviation community, assignments have increased during the year so far. Grayson Barrows, Aviation Search Group director of sales, recently announced that the number of searches, revenue and market demand for headhunting assignments have all jumped 26 percent from 2012. "We are pleased to report key growth in comparison from this time last year," Barrows said. "We are certainly encouraged by what we have accomplished thus far this quarter and expect solid development through 2013." The positions that will be in high demand this year will be in the executive and management fields, making up for the increase in flight hours and activity. There will also be an increase in openings in the technical and skilled areas of the industry, making up for the demand. Once pilots have secured positions with an airline, one of the most important steps afterward is to secure pilot insurance to assure their families are taken care of in the event of an accident taking place.
