Historic Flight Foundation uses beer flights for education
May 10, 2012, 12:00 pm
The Historic Flight Foundation is hosting the first ever Beer Flight fundraiser in Mukilteo, Washington, at the foundation’s hangar headquarters on May 18.
Tickets are $75, $150 for VIP, and all proceeds will go to the Historic Flight Foundation Education Fund for students interested in aviation, restoration and history of aviation.
“That’s our mission,” said John Sessions, founder of the Historic Flight Foundation. “We are a non-profit, so even though we have a lot of fun sometimes with the flying, it’s all about history and technical learning and trying to get, particularly, young people excited about science and math and earlier periods of aviation history.”
Seattle’s Pike Brewing Company is sponsoring the event and will feature beer flights to keep the event to keep with the aviation theme.
