Yeager Airport in West Virginia will soon be making improvements to its infrastructure, according to the West Virginia Gazette.
The source says that the governing board for the airport has authorized a plan to collaborate with a Cincinnati company to organize the renovations. The source says the current funds the board has approved amounts to $20,000, but an additional $300,000 will be collected by refinancing the loan for the common hangar of the GA terminal.
Still, the source explains, the project will need to be completed in stages, as it is expected to cost slightly more than $500,000 total.
In addition to aesthetic improvements, the renovations may enhance the efficiency and durability of the GA terminal at the airport, potentially enhancing safety in turn.
Safer, more efficient runways can sometimes help avoid aircraft collisions and other incidents that could end fatally. However, as some recent incidents have shown, even the most sophisticated airports sometimes have close-calls. Life insurance for pilots may be an important investment, as the risks facing aviators are great, and sometimes arise unexpectedly.
