Private jet company expands to the US

Lufthansa and NetJets recently announced they will expand their private jet branch into the United States after reporting growth in Europe.
The two carriers launched their private jet operations in 2005 but stopped working together in 2007 when Lufthansa decided to buy its own executive jet line. In March 2011, the two companies reunited to offer private jets, as well as small, medium and large business jets to European travelers. These same services will be available to U.S. customers starting February 1. Travelers can book their arrangements up to 12 hours prior to the flight, and purchases can be made through the Lufthansa private jet distribution network, Aviation Week reported.
According to Bloomberg, Lufthansa is also offering U.S. customers cozier accommodations on their private jets. Travelers can enjoy flat-bed seats in a brown and gray-themed business class cabin designed to feel more like a small hotel room for their business trips. Lufthansa follows other competitors who launched similar cabins a few years ago. However, Lufthansa officials said their cabins have improvements over the competition, with armrests, tabletops and storage bins for a more comfortable flight.
Pilots interested in working with the carriers in the United States should invest in pilot insurance to safeguard against unexpected accidents or inclement weather conditions.
