Renegade Light Sport recently announced that it has purchased a hangar at Sait Lucie County Airport to help streamline its business operations. The hangar is 70,000 square feet and will allow the company to bring operations such as design, delivering and maintenance under one roof. Renegade President Christopher Bailey said the building is the former Micco Aircraft hangar but has been completely redone since being hit by a hurricane a few years back. Bailey added that he hopes the new hangar will be a one stop shop for everything pertaining to light sport aircraft. In a separate announcement last month, Flight Design added two new dealers in Florida in order to promote sales of its light sport aircraft. The company said that Brian Boucher of Florida Light-Sport Aircraft will be one of the new dealers in Daytona Beach. “I am very pleased to represent the market leading brand of Light-Sport Aircraft in northern Florida,” said Boucher. “We already have pilots asking for a demonstration flight and we will be at the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Florida on 17-20 January to show our new CTLSi.” The other dealers will be Chris Menaiges and Tony Alvarez of Americana Aviation, located in Miami. Those in the general aviation community are reminded that the best accessory for their light-sport aircraft is pilot life insurance.
