March 13, 2013, 01:10 pm
Safety is on the agenda at the Women in Aviation International Conference, which runs from March 14 -16 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Marci Veronie, vice president of Avemco Insurance Company, is expected to present The Top 10 Aviation Insurance Myths at the second stop of the safety education tour, which focuses on encouraging pilots to be involved with relevant training for more secure aviation practices and smarter aircraft ownership. "I'm really looking forward to coming back to the WAI Conference as it attracts such a wonderfully diverse national and international audience of aviators," said Veronie. "This topic, 'Top 10 Myths of Aviation Insurance,' will really resonate with everyone – from the new aviation enthusiast to the experienced pilot – there are myths and truths that continue to surprise. It's no longer the age of your father's or mother's insurance policy." Pilots will also be given information on avoiding accidents and provided with expert level advice. Considering the dangers that will be revealed at the conference, aviators should make sure they secure pilot insurance before flying to prepare for any unexpected future circumstances.
