For those who don't fly, hearing about a pilot's travels can be intriguing. Those who have taken to the skies know just what an incredible experience it can be.
Thomas Lee Bangart has written about his life from an early age through his airline pilot years. In his memoir, he discusses his passion for flying and how he knew the industry was right for him. Through his book, Bangart hopes to bring inspiration to others interested in taking flight.
Gary Presley wrote a review of the book on ForeWord Reviews. He notes the book has some similarities to Fate is the Hunter, another aviation book.
Presley cites Bangart as writing, "there's no way I could fly up through the clouds that were above me, because at that time I had neither instrument flight training nor proper instruments in my airplane." Such a description highlights what it was like to be a pilot in the early days.
Bangarts book is just one of many pieces of literature available to those who wish to read about others' insights and experiences while flying. A wide selection of similar titles can be found in many bookstores and an extensive selection is online.
