Piper delivers 500 Meridians

Piper Aircraft recently announced it has delivered the 500th pressurized single-engine turboprop M-Class Meridian to its SouthEast Piper location so the plane's new owner in Florida can pick it up.
“The milestone delivery of the 500th Piper Meridian, since first delivery in the year 2000, emphasizes its enduring value proposition even during recent periods of economic uncertainty around the world,” said Simon Caldecott, Piper president and CEO . “Single-engine Piper turboprops are growing in popularity as replacements for less economical twin-engine jets and turboprops.”
SouthEast Piper handles all Piper aircraft to the southeastern states including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee.

Piper announced last month that starting December 5, maintenance and regulatory documents will be available through Aircraft Technical Publishers Aviation Hub Online Service and ATP's NavigatorV Desktop platform.
ATP Aviation Hub subscribers will have immediate, online access to technical publications and Airworthiness Directives. Customers are assured that the cloud-based services they are receiving are current and will help them prepare for inspections.
Piper announced at the Experimental Aviation Association's AirVenture back in July that over the last two and a half years, they increased aircraft deliveries and revenue during the first six months of 2012 on a year-over-year comparison. In the second quarter alone, the company delivered 39 new aircraft and deliveries were up 18 percent from the same period of time last year, while revenue grew more than 20 percent over that same period of time.
In the first six months of 2012, Piper delivered 76 new planes, accounting for a 28 percent increase on a year-over-year comparison, generating more than $69 million in revenue, up 20 percent from the same period of time last year.
