Search for missing plane continues

Authorities are still searching for pilot Joseph Radford, who was reported missing on March 14 after last being seen at Grand Canyon Airport on March 11, according to KTAR.
Officials believe his aircraft may have gone down somewhere in Grand Canyon National Park, the source says.
The Park Service has taken to the skies itself in an attempt to find any signs of wreckage. According to the source, authorities have flown over about 600 square miles of a search area, but have been unable to acquire a signal from an emergency locator transmitter signal or visually view any signs of an accident.
However, there may have been some earlier clues as the source says "investigations into Mr. Radford's disappearance and technical interpretation of an ELT signal, detected by a general aviation pilot on March 13, and radar data have been ongoing."
As the search moves forward, the source reports that authorities will place more of a focus on technical evidence and eye-witness accounts from those who were in the park at the time Radford disappeared.
Aircraft disappearances may be rare, but fatal accidents occur more frequently and pilots face numerous hazards while in the skies. As such, life insurance for pilots serves the important purpose of providing funds for pilots' families if they perish in a plane crash.
