New Piper plane offers training package for nonpilots

Some individuals who do not yet know how to fly may have the desire to purchase a personal aircraft for the convenience they may provide. People in this situation may soon have an opportunity to do so, as Piper has recently announced the Ready, Set, Fly program, wich will mallow nonpilots to purchase an Archer aircraft, according to the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
The program, recently announced at Sun 'n Fun, will utilize a professional flight training company at Piper's Vero Beach factory.
The program may help improve the number of pilots who stick with training and ultimately receive their pilot licenses, the AOPA suggests.
Groom said the program is a direct response to an AOPA study on why some students fail to complete flight training. In particular, it addresses the poor-weather issue reported in the AOPA study by conducting the training in usually sunny Vero Beach," the source says. "It also addresses an issue of poor professionalism by selecting a training company to be announced later."
Though this training will likely include safety practices, sometimes these procedures are not enough to save pilots from unforeseeable hazards that can cause plane accidents. It will remain important for these new pilots to invest in pilot life insurance, in the event that they pass away as a result of a plane accident.
