Pilots who are looking for power sources may take note of a recent development at a pilot supply store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Hangar63, which is located in the city's Executive Airport, announced it has joined up with Aviation Management International to provide pilots with a way to purchase portable ground power units. As a result, the store will provide five types of the equipment, which can help start airplanes. "Also they are small and light enough to carry in case you need power at a remote location," store manager Chuck Speakman said. "Since their introduction at Hangar63 they have been a hit with our customers." The store recently featured a customer appreciation day at the airport, which saw more than 360 guests. The event features a number of pilot supply companies offering equipment, including headsets and safety rafts. Aircraft were also featured,as were family oriented activities. Hangar63, which is the Banyon aviation store, makes a variety of pilot equipment available, including apparel and training aids. It also has parts for general aviation aircraft.
