Passengers call for better screening methods

Thanksgiving and Christmas mark two of the busiest travel times of the year and with the increased number of passengers comes heightened security.
During the Thanksgiving holiday travel surge, the airline industry received scrutiny for its security measures. Many passengers voiced their opposition to full body scans and pat-downs by TSA agents.
Pilots and flight attendants also voiced their concerns over the safety measures, citing fears of being exposed to excessive amounts of radiation.
The U.S. Travel Association says a survey reveals most passengers feel a "trusted traveler program" could provide better safety measures. The association's president and CEO Roger Dow says most travelers are looking for a better security system.
"An efficient air travel security screening system that streamlines the process for trusted travelers can strengthen our security and economy," says Dow.
Even with the best security measures in place, something can still go wrong. It's a good idea to consider term life insurance for pilots if a person has a career working for an airline. With the increased amount of time flying comes a higher risk of one meeting troubles in the sky.
