The Technical College System of Georgia recently partnered with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to establish a comprehensive education program that will teach students at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport.
The program is an extension of the Georgia Northwestern Technical college's aviation maintenance technology degree program. Embry-Riddle is a leading educational institution in the fields of aviation and aerospace education, with more than 150 locations across the United States, Canada, Europe and the Middle East. By partnering with other educational institutions, the programs offered will have world-class teachers and resources to prepare students for the sky, Georgia's Rome News Tribune reported.
Another way to prepare for the sky is by purchasing pilot insurance prior to taking to the skies.
The West Michigan Aviation Academy is also expanding its educational offerings. The school recently started construction of its two-story expansion to accommodate the growing number of students interested in aviation programs. The expansion will include a new gymnasium, more classrooms and a new common area, NBC affiliate WOOD reported.
